Travel professional Patrice, (aka Italqueen_1 on Instagram), recently took an adventure into a world-famous section of the Andes Mountain Range: Machu Picchu, Perú.
“I’m not a foodie, but I’m just saying the food here is divine!! Everything is from the ground to the table, fresh and organic.
The people are warm, humble and very nice.
I got to cross off another one of the 7 Wonders of the World 🌎 Machu Picchu mountain ⛰️. Coming here also gives me renewed assurance of how wonderful our God the Creator is!!”
In a WhatsApp message to her fitness trainer, wearing one of OB Fitness Standard Tees, Patrice said: “Hi Oshane you made it to one of the 7 wonders of the world 🌎, to Machu Picchu.”
What Is Machu Picchu?
A former site of the Incan Empire, Machu Picchu is a popular tourist spot in Perú; named as one of the seven wonders of the world; and is listed as a member of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
“Machu Picchu is formed of buildings, plazas, and platforms connected by narrow lanes or paths. One sector is cordoned off to itself by walls, ditches, and, perhaps, a moat—built, writes Lumbreras, “not as part of a military fortification [but] rather as a form of restricted ceremonial isolation.” Hearn & Golomb| National Geographic
According to Discover Perú, “The Inca civilization was the largest Pre-Columbian civilization in the Americas and Cusco was its capital. The best kept example of its architecture is Machu Picchu…Machu Picchu has about 200 buildings that are considered architectural wonders.”
“Machu Picchu, rises 2,430 meters or 7,970 feet above the sea level.” WorldAtlas.com
