Port Royal 1692 Earthquake | Portmore Vulnerability Today | South Coast Fault Zone?

Is The 1692 Port Royal Earthquake Due To The South Coast Fault Zone Rupture?

A 2013 Geotechnical report (boreholes) of The Norman Manley International Airport (Jamaica), highlighted Black Sands. Whilst this finding enabled me to plot a spatial representation of the extent of the Black Sands, along Jamaica’s coastline, my eyes & mind were opened to the close association of Black Sands, as well as orientation of the South Coast Fault zone.

Then my eyes and mind were led to the orientation of:

*The Palisadoes Spit.

*The interesting landform observation of Braeton Hill Portmore.

*And the striking orientation shift of the Rio Cobre River, after exiting Angels (St. Catherine, Jamaica.

Could all of these be linked to the reactivation of the South Coast Fault Zone?
