Condolences. Violent Mass Attacks Are Indescriminate Geographically

Let me first extend my sincerest condolences to the families & loved ones, of the victims involved in this horrendous attack.

This attack highlight that violent attacks on kids is not isolated to any one country; confined to less developed nations, such as Small Island Developing States; nor restricted to countries with a high number of mass shootings annually, such as the United States of America. Violent Mass crime such as this is committed by violent people; and these people potentially exist in every inhabitable (humans) nation, throughout the world.

Similarly, it’s important for us as global citizens to understand, that the forces of globalization, migration (internal & external) and mass communication channels (to name a few), reduces the barriers & redefine geographic zones of crimes such as this. Therefore, if we live acknowledging this reality, then occurences such as this, will not be viewed with that great of a shock; and as a result, we will put stronger measures in place to make “kids zones” less soft as targets, to criminals such as this.

Additional Self Defense Tips For Parents & Guardians with Kids in Their Care

*Question the school, business, or charitable organization who will be having your kids for periods in a day, week, or similar, of their security measures in place specific for threats such as mass shootings, mass stabbings, bomb attack or similar.

*As a family (and with your kids), have dialogue & training scenarios with your kids, of actions they should take given the danger of focus.

*Enroll your child in a formal martial arts school.
